FC Flyeralarm Admira continues to strengthen its offensive area and sign center forward Andrew Wooten.
The German-American receives a contract in the Südstadt until the summer of 2022. Wooten last played until the end of the season in December 2020 in the American MLS at Philadelphia Union. Before that, the 31-year-old was also active in the second German Bundesliga, among others for SV Sandhausen and 1.FC Kaiserslautern.
With 48 goals in 151 appearances, the right-footer is still SV Sandhausen’s record scorer and was even appointed to the American national team by Jürgen Klinsmann in October 2015.
“Andrew can help us immediately. He is of great quality and has a lot of experience. We, the athletes, agreed from the start that Andrew is exactly the right man. We are pleased that Andrew – despite other offers – decided on the FC Flyeralarm Admira, ”explains Franz Wohlfahrt, Managing Director Sport.
Trainer Damir Buric shares the opinion and the common joy about the new addition. “Andrew is the ideal man in our situation. He has a lot of experience and has proven his scoring threat several times in the second German division. Andrew just shows an enormous presence in the penalty area. ”
