The Stuttgart city administration, with around 16,000 employees, does not wait for the request from the Chancellor and the Minister-Presidents to increase the number of home office offers for the workforce. It also does not feel that it is the addressee of the criticism; the authorities in the republic were lagging behind on the private sector issue.
The administrative mayor Fabian Mayer (CDU) and the general staff council chairwoman Claudia Häußler emphasized before the decisive round on Tuesday in Berlin, in which a tightened lockdown is to be negotiated, that the city is constantly expanding its offer to employees to work from home out.
