CoV: Juve without Sandro and Cuadrado against Milan

The Italian soccer record champions Juventus Turin have to do without their defenders Alex Sandro and Juan Cuadrado for the time being because of two positive coronavirus tests. First, the Brazilian Sandro showed slight symptoms and underwent a test, the Serie A club announced on Monday evening. The 29-year-old is in isolation. Juventus is in contact with the health authorities.

The next bad news finally followed on Tuesday: The Colombian defensive player Cuadrado also received a positive result. The test was done as part of routine controls. The 32-year-old is also in isolation. However, he has no symptoms. Both will therefore be absent on Wednesday when the fifth in the table plays for the top game against leaders AC Milan.

The “Rossoneri” are in a head-to-head race at the top of the table with city rivals Inter Milan. Series champion Juve is already ten points behind the leader after the 15th round with 27 points and has so far fallen short of expectations. Striker Cristiano Ronaldo had already called for a return to old strength before the short break between Christmas and the new year.
