Fires – Frankfurt am Main – People die in a flat fire in Frankfurt – Panorama

Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) – A person was killed in a flat fire in Frankfurt. Emergency services had found the body after the extinguishing work, as the fire department in the Main metropolis announced on Wednesday. Details about the person were initially not known. Two neighbors were rescued unharmed.  The  fire broke out early Wednesday morning in the approximately 150 square meter apartment on the fourth floor of a residential building. It was reportedly in full fire. Fire and rescue services were deployed with around 65 men.

 The  police estimate the damage caused at more than one million euros.

 The  cause of the fire was initially unclear.
