It has earned a special place in the hearts of many football fans. Kevin Großkreutz is now announcing the official end of his professional career.

Dortmund – It’s over at the age of 32. Has on Sunday evening (January 24th) Kevin Grosskreutz the  The  End his Career when Football professional announced – in proper style via Instagram post. “After 15 years it is time for me to say goodbye to professional football,” said Großkreutz in a published on his profile Video. He showed some of the highlights of his career, which were accompanied by music.

With Borussia Dortmund the all-rounder celebrated the German championship, a year later even the double. Under coach Jürgen Klopp Großkreutz became the favorite of BVB fans.

In 2014, the now 32-year-old was part of the DFB world champions team, was not used in Brazil. After stations at Galatasaray Istanbul, VfB Stuttgart, SV Darmstadt 98 and the KFC Uerdingen it was recently quieter around Großkreutz. Again and again, the all-rounder made headlines with scandals away from the grass. Apparently, Großkreutz only wants in the future Amateurbereich kicking the ball.
