Berlin (dpa / bb) – Lukas Reichel will have fond memories of his 50th game in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL). In the 4: 2 of Eisbären Berlin against Kölner Haie on Tuesday evening, the 18-year-old attacker had scored the final score himself and had previously prepared Leonhard Pföderl’s two goals and Marcel Noebels’ decisive goal. Reichel then passed the congratulations on to his two men next to him. “Our row worked well,” he said. “We created chances, and this time the panes just went in. I hope it continues like this.”

National player Noebels also praised the attack formation, which had made a decisive contribution to the polar bears’ fourth home win of the current season with an outstanding performance. “© The  three of us are a great combination,” said the 28-year-old winger. “I played a lot of games with Leo last year, I think we know each other inside out. And Lukas is playing really, very well at the moment and has gained confidence.”

With the well-deserved success against Cologne, the Berliners improved to second place in the DEL northern group. Already on Thursday (8.30 p.m. / Magentasport) they can take the lead with another home win: ©

The n the polar bears receive the front runner Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven, who recently celebrated six wins in a row. “No game is easier,” said Noebels at Magentasport. “But we’re lucky to be playing at home again and of course we want to win again.”
