Linz helps elderly citizens to get vaccinations


With an additional service, the city of Linz wants to guarantee that older citizens can come to the New Town Hall for the corona vaccination if they cannot cope with the journey by public transport or with relatives. In these cases, the recreational vehicle service of the Arbeiter-Samariterbund can be used for the way to the vaccination.
In individual cases, inexpensive ambulance transports are also possible for elderly Linz residents who cannot make the way to the bus or tram stop themselves or who cannot take a taxi or with relatives due to physical limitations.  The se trips can be paid for with the existing vouchers from the Arbeiter-Samariterbund at the inner-city transport tariff for round trips. © The  additional costs are borne by the social department of the city of Linz. People who already have a vaccination appointment at the New Town Hall can take advantage of this offer.
Due to limited capacities, the City of Linz asks you to only take advantage of this offer if there is actually no other way to get to the vaccination site. A requirement can be registered directly with the Arbeiter-Samariterbund on 0732 2127 (manned from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

Three long-term test locations in Linz
