Marta Bassino dreams of her third giant slalom victory
Kranjska Gora – The Italian ski racer Marta Bassino has ticked off the giant slalom at Courchevel. The athlete wants to win again in Kranjska Gora. Basino is looking forward to the race in Slovenia and is happy to take on the challenge on the steep and pimple-hard slope. Sofia Goggia wants to fight and Federica Brignone wants to keep the red shirt of the leaders in the discipline classification. This is how you can describe the situation from an azure blue point of view in a few words.
The giant slalom team is currently the flagship of the Italian ski team, and Basino and Brignone are the direct favorites on Saturday and Sunday.
The athletes must concentrate on the task in order to be successful, because the piste does not forgive mistakes and a fall on the ice rink could cause serious injuries.
In contrast to last year, this year’s ride in Kranjska Gora will be different. Nevertheless, the ski racers from all over the world want to approach the matter with fun. Goggia knows the Podkoren3, which men also ski on every year, and knows what challenge awaits them. Three years ago, she climbed onto the podium for the last time in the giant slalom. After a few unsafe rides in the recent past, she wants to maintain the good level she has regained and continue to grow athletically.
