The two-time motorcycle world champion and today’s MotoGP team boss Fausto Gresini has been put into an artificial coma after suffering from Covid 19. The Gresini racing team announced on Friday. The 59-year-old’s condition has improved slightly in the meantime.
The Italian was admitted to a hospital in his hometown of Imola ( It) on December 27 after a positive corona test. The transfer to Bologna took place three days later. There Gresini was put into a coma, the oxygen saturation in the blood was very low at that time. According to the team, the doctors began to initiate the wake-up process on Friday.
