The DTM also drives four times in neighboring countries, in Monza (Italy), Zolder (Belgium), Assen (Netherlands) and at the Red Bull Ring (Austria).
The season starts in Italy
As a kick-off, the DTM will travel to the Royal Park of Monza for the first time from June 18-20. So far, there have been two dates to choose from for the DTM’s first appearance in Monza. Now the third weekend in June has been fixed.
The date, which is planned with reservations, at the end of May in St. Petersburg (Igora Drive) will not take place.
The finals traditionally take place in Hockenheim from October 1st to 3rd.
The current DTM calendar was confirmed by the FIA, the world automobile association, shortly before Christmas. “For the new season, the DTM offers an interesting mix of demanding racetracks with well-known names,” says Frederic Elsner, Event Director of the DTM umbrella organization ITR. All races for the DTM will be broadcast live on SAT.1 in German-speaking countries.
