Biel and HCD agree to swap
Valentin Nussbaumer (20) and David Ullström (31) are leaving EHC Biel and switching to HC Davos. Striker Nussbaumer signed a contract with Graubünden until 2013, while the Swedish striker Ullström will wear the Davos jersey until the end of the season. In return, strikers Luca Hischier (25) and Perttu Lindgren (33) move to the Zealanders. Hischier receives a contract in Biel until 2024, Lindgren until the end of the current season.
Long suspension against Geneva’s Riat
Geneva Servettes Damien Riat is suspended for seven games for his gang check against Lugano’s Elia Riva and fined 6000 francs. The attacker had checked his opponent in the championship game on January 8th in the first minute of the game. The Geneva-based player has already served a suspension.
Haas caught by the coronavirus
Gaëtan Haas missed the start of the season with the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL. The corona virus interferes with the Swiss national striker. Haas tested positive when he arrived in North America on December 28 and was only able to leave isolation on last Friday. The Oilers received the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night. Haas was only allowed to return to the ice a day earlier.
EV Zug strengthens with American Shore
EV Zug reacted to the return of Ryan McLeod to the Edmonton Oilers and the injury of Calvin Thürkauf and signed the American Nick Shore. The 28-year-old center, who looks back on 299 NHL games with the Los Angeles Kings, Toronto Maple Leafs and Winnipeg Jets, signed a contract until the end of the season.
