Oldenburg, Munich and Berlin fulfill mandatory tasks | Free press

Oldenburg (dpa) –  The  EWE Baskets Oldenburg, FC Bayern Munich and Alba Berlin have done their duty in the basketball Bundesliga.

 The  Oldenburg won 87:79 (45:34) against the Syntainics MBC, but remain third in the table due to the lost direct comparison with Hakro Merlin’s Crailsheim. Bayern won the south-north duel against Hamburg Towers with 85:71 (48:37) and Alba Berlin had the upper hand at the end of the day at the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig with 82:76 (51:43).

After Crailsheim had presented an 82:77 win over medi Bayreuth on Saturday, the Oldenburg team responded with a concentrated effort.

 The y convinced from the start and made the decision even before the start of the final quarter. Weißenfels did not give up, but the race to catch up came too late.

 The  best thrower of the game was Oldenburg’s Phil Pressey with 16 points. This means that EWE Baskets and Crailsheim are keeping track of the front runner MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg.

 The  day before, the Baden-Württemberg team had prevailed against Brose Bamberg with 83:75.

 The  capital club from Berlin, on the other hand, struggled against the brave Braunschweiger, but ultimately never left serious doubts about an away win.

 The  Munich team, who were in fifth place directly behind, tried to control the game against Hamburg after the exhausting games in the Euroleague and only had to tremble for a short time. As a result of the success, Bayern, with five players scoring double-digit points, have nine wins after eleven games. Coach Andrea Trinchieri was absent for family reasons.

Also on Sunday, ratiopharm Ulm achieved an important victory in the battle for the playoff ranks at 98:74 (49:41) at BG Göttingen.

 The  Fraport Skyliners, on the other hand, suffered a setback.

 The  Frankfurt broke in in the fourth section and lost at home to Oliver Würzburg 72:80 (35:38). As a result, the Franconians are now leveling with the Skyliners with five successes this season.
