Only just under 14 percent of Viennese used the mass tests – Vienna

 The  second round of the Vienna mass test ends today. Since January 8th – as in December – separate test streets were again available in the Stadthalle (Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus), the Messe Wien (Leopoldstadt) and the Marxhalle (Landstrasse). According to the city, the capacity was sufficient to carry out up to 918,000 tests, but only around 127,000 Viennese took up the offer.

Participation this time less than in December

 The  Viennese can still be tested until 11 p.m. today.

 The  low interest – the number of those who came to a test is this time even below the value of the first round in early December. At that time 234,889 people came, which corresponds to around 15.6%. This is probably also due to the fact that the originally planned “free test” from the lockdown did not come after all. In addition, other fixed test options are also available in Vienna, for example with around 30 “sniffing boxes” or at the Austria Center Vienna (Donaustadt).

So far only 0.21 percent positive

Overall, the rapid antigen tests in the three test halls showed a positive result of 0.21 percent. However, this has not yet been confirmed:
