Daniel Huber from Salzburg finished qualifying for the World Cup in Zakopane (Poland) on Friday with a sovereign performance and fourth place.
While teammate Stefan Kraft is taking a break, Daniel Huber made a strong impression as fourth in the qualification for the World Cup in Zakopane.
Huber fourth in Zakopane qualifying
The Salzburg man jumped only one meter shorter than the winner of the preliminary round, Yukiya Sato from Japan (133 meters). Things went badly for Maximilian Steiner and Poland’s Piotr Zyla, who were each disqualified because of a non-compliant suit and had to watch on Sunday (4 p.m.).
Second team competition for ÖSV-Adler
Before that, the second team competition of this World Cup winter was scheduled for Saturday (4.15 p.m.), the first at the season opener in Wisla Austria had won (with strength).
The ÖSV quartet now consists of Huber, Philipp Aschenwald, Michael Hayböck and Jan Hörl. In the individual, the five-time Zakopane winner Gregor Schlierenzauer, who was not considered for the World Cup, will be there.
