In order to create a good bond with the community, TikTok has also started to introduce a Q&A option that allows creators to better interact with fans.

The  TikTok Ads Manager will be available to everyone

With the start of the hub for SMEs in Germany, the TikTok Ads Manager announced in summer 2020 will also be available to all customers in Germany. © www.de24.news

The  company explains this on its own blog. With the Ads Manager and the associated self-service platform, advertisers should be able to make their ads “100% TikTok” and create their own campaigns. © www.de24.news

The  new hub will provide you with help on what these might look like. Finally, SMEs in particular need to be concerned about the efficiency of each campaign. Lisa Friedrich, Head of SMB for TikTok in Europe, explains:

At TikTok, we believe that building authentic and positive communities is crucial for small and medium-sized businesses. © www.de24.news The y need to be heard and seen by their potential customers. In contrast to the possibilities and budgets of the advertising departments of larger companies, every euro and every cent that is spent counts for SMEs. That’s why I am pleased that our new TikTok hub for SMEs can help new target groups to be discovered.

With hashtags such as kleinunternehmer (over 468,100 views), # Business idea (over five million views), entrepreneur (over 8.4 billion views), smallbusinesscheck (over 4.9 billion views) or smallbusiness (over 15.7 billion Calls) SMEs can try to connect their own brand with a suitable community. On TikTok in particular, these companies can quickly achieve a large reach if they creatively adapt to the platform’s content patterns. Thomas Wlazik, Managing Director Global Business Solutions at TikTok Germany, explains:

Successful brands work with the creativity of our community, integrate the experiences and impressions of our creators and enable user interactions. © www.de24.news The  more authentically content fits into the personalized For You feed, the better. This applies to big brands as well as to small and medium-sized companies. On TikTok, it is also possible for smaller companies to build up a large reach very quickly. It’s not about perfect and polished content – the most creative and authentic content will prevail. With the right approach, companies can tap into completely new target groups on TikTok.

This is how you get your advertising ready for TikTok

TikTok offers users a full-screen, audio-set content experience, including ads. SMEs have the opportunity to give an authentic insight into what they manufacture and sell. TikTok differs from platforms like Instagram or Facebook and offers new potential. How these are to be exploited must first be determined. Because the community knows what applies to companies in the app: Make TikToks, not Ads.

In the new TikTok Hub, companies can get tips and instructions to learn how to use the Ads Manager. © www.de24.news

The n goals and KPIs (e.g. traffic, conversions), target groups, the budget and the campaign schedule as well as the bid method and delivery type can be better defined. With the TikTok Pixel, SMEs can understand the effect of TikTok Ads for their own websites or web shops.

Authenticity and innovation using the example of halal sweets

Tayfun Öner’s halal online shop offers an example of innovative products and authentic content on TikTok. © www.de24.news

The  shop sells halal sweets because founder Öner simply couldn’t find such products in supermarkets. And he would like to offer his alternative to sweets with pork gelatine to the TikTok community.

My mission is to make halal sweets available worldwide through digital channels and to enable everyone to enjoy fruit gums without pork gelatine. I noticed that the TikTok community is very interested in my products and likes to interact with my organic videos. At the same time, I get new, important insights and knowledge about who my customers are and what they expect from my products every day. Creating ads through Ads Manager is the next logical step and will take my community’s engagement to a new level,

explained Tayfun Öner on the TikTok blog. Many SMEs in Germany can follow his example now that the Ads Manager and the TikTok Hub are available.

Q&A feature enables even more loyalty to TikTok users

Both companies and influencers may be able to use a new feature on TikTok in the future in order to get to know their community even better – and possibly provide even more suitable content. Because social media expert Matt Navarra recently discovered a Q&A feature with which creators can call on their followers to ask them questions they would like to have answered. © www.de24.news

The  screenshots are from Twitter users Sam Schmir (Sphinx).

With the help of this feature, creators can encourage their community to become even more involved. It is also possible to create new video content based on the questions. On the one hand, this is a good option to always be able to present new content that interests the followers. On the other hand, especially for business profiles, this offers the opportunity to retain users and possibly lead to conversions. © www.de24.news

The  Q&A function may still be a limited test for the time being; because it is not clear which users can already access it.

Nonetheless, such options offer potential for community management. And that is also crucial for SMEs that decide to be present on TikTok.
