The situation on Tuesday, January 12th:
The seven-day incidence in Potsdam-Mittelmark continued to decrease slightly on Tuesday and is now 230.9 (previous day 258.6). The Ministry of Health reports this in the morning. Two other people died of or with Covid-19, they come from Teltow and Schwielowsee.
According to the district, 45 new infections were reported yesterday in Potsdam-Mittelmark. The municipality of Michendorf with 18 people stands out in particular. A specific assignment cannot be made by district spokeswoman Andrea Metzler. It could still be about the processing of the cases in the nursing home Cura Humanus. By the end of the week, the district’s numbers should be up to date, said Metzler. There is currently a lot of sick leave in the health department, so only three out of five health overseers are on duty.
In the meantime, a child in the “Werderaner Früchtchen” day care center in Werder has fallen ill and, according to the district, has tested positive, contact persons have been identified and further measures initiated. There is another case at the Thomas-Müntzer school center Ziesar-Görzke in grade 10 and in the day care center Spatzennest Wollin quarantine was set for 17 children and seven educators until January 19.
A total of 4076 people in Potsdam-Mittelmark have tested positive for Corona since the beginning of the pandemic, 527 are considered actively sick. 94 Mittelmarkers have died from or with Covid-19, and 3461 are considered to have recovered.

The district reported five more new deaths in connection with the corona virus on Monday. While the total number of deceased in Potsdam-Mittelmark was 87 on Saturday, it has now risen to 92. So there were 15 more deaths between Saturday and Monday, whereby, as reported, a large number of these are very likely to be late registrations from nursing homes. According to statistics, ten fatalities come from Kleinmachnow, two from Teltow.

The situation on Tuesday, January 5th:
The corona pandemic claims another fatality in Potsdam-Mittelmark, as the district administration announced on Tuesday afternoon. The person concerned came from Groß Kreutz (Havel). This increases the number of those who died in connection with the Sars-CoV-2 pathogen in the district to 72. The district reported 95 new infections, most of them occurred in Werder (13), Treuenbrietzen (11) and Teltow (10).
