Bremen – Milot Rashica has returned to team training at SV Werder Bremen. The tendon injury in his left thigh, which he suffered a month ago during training, has healed and the 24-year-old is now taking the next step on the way to his comeback.
He started the session with his colleagues on Tuesday morning, but it was clear from the start that Milot Rashica will only complete part of the training. But at least: while Niclas Füllkrug, Ömer Toprak, Josh Sargent, Ludwig Augustinsson and Kevin Möhwald went into the dressing room early as agreed, Rashica did some individual exercises – especially sprints. Nevertheless, it was a light re-entry for the Kosovar who Werder Bremen has not really been able to help in the current season. After knee problems at the beginning of the season, he only returned to the game in mid-October and needed a few games to get back in shape. As soon as that was done, the thigh injury followed.
WERDER BREMEN: MILOT RASHICA IS STILL MISSING AGAINST LEVERKUSEN
According to current planning, Rashica will still miss the game at Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, at the earliest against FC Augsburg a week later the attacker is expected to be back in the Bremen squad. Will there still be enough time to recommend a change within the winter transfer deadline (by January 31)? Werder Bremen would Milot Rashica let go at a reasonable price to defuse the tense financial situation a little. In addition to Nick Woltemade (virus infection), Niklas Moisander was also missing from the training session on Tuesday morning. The captain has been complaining of ankle problems since the player replacement training on Sunday. (csa)
