Rendi-Wagner concernedt about high numbers
SPÖ leader Pamela Rendi-Wagner observed the rising number of new corona infections in Austria last week “with great concern”. Further opening steps are currently not an issue for them. “It takes the greatest caution in order to be able to control the risk. At the moment it doesn’t look like it,” said Rendi-Wagner at a labor market press conference on Monday in response to journalists’ demand. With every political step you have to “keep a close eye on the number of infections and mutations,” said the SPÖ boss. At the end of January, Rendi-Wagner had spoken out in favor of a longer lockdown in retail and with body-friendly service providers, but was in favor of the school opening from February 8th At the beginning of February she described the easing as a “major risk”.
