In total 1838 new infections have been reported throughout Germany within the past 24 hours (as of Sunday, 9.30 a.m.). A significant increase: a week ago, 1184 new cases were registered. Since Saturday 18 more people died of or with a coronavirus infection within one day.
The Seven-day incidence – the number of new infections in this period per 100,000 inhabitants – was on Sunday 133,5. The day before it was 126.3. The 14-day incidence was 241.9. On average, 1,698 people were infected every day over the past seven days.
So far there was in Austria 445,374 positive test results. As of today (February 21, 2021, 9:30 a.m.) 8,386 people across Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 420,509 have recovered.
Currently there are 1262 people in hospital treatment due to the corona virus. Of these, 261 are cared for in intensive care units.
