According to the authorities, a total of 50,524 people in the Hanseatic city have tested positive for the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic. The number of cases on Sundays and Mondays is usually lower than on other days of the week. The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days rose to 70.9, after 69.2 the previous day. On Monday a week ago, this value was 67.7. As of Friday, 306 corona patients are being treated in Hamburg’s hospitals, 75 of whom are receiving intensive care.

According to the RKI, 1,223 people have died in connection with Covid-19 disease in the Hanseatic city since the pandemic began as of Sunday.
