The positivity rate for the past two weeks for the PCR tests was 4.8 percent, as the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) announced. In the rapid tests it was 4.3 percent.
During the same period, 169.36 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus infections were reported per 100,000 inhabitants. The reproduction number R, which indicates the average number of people infected by an infected person, was 0.91 on February 12.
Overall, the BAG has registered 7787 confirmed infections with a mutated coronavirus variant. Of these, 2928 came from the British variant, 128 from the South African and five from the Brazilian. 4736 cases could not be clearly assigned to any variant.

The number of deaths related to Covid 19 disease was 9226.
According to the BAG, 11,051 people were in isolation and 18,725 people were in quarantine due to the contact tracing. In addition, there were 2,913 people in quarantine who had returned from a risk country.
The number of vaccine doses administered was 613,346. 137,734 people were fully vaccinated.
