26 more deaths, 268 new infections


BerlinIn Berlin, 268 new infections with the corona virus have been registered in the past 24 hours. That emerges from the situation report of the Senate Health Administration on Tuesday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 127,453 people have been infected with the virus in the capital, of which 119,507 have now recovered – 382 more than the day before.

Most of the new infections were registered in the Pankow district (+56), followed by Mitte (+52) and Neukölln (+39).

Berlin recorded 26 new deaths related to Covid-19 on Tuesday. A total of 2,766 people have died with or from the virus since the beginning of the pandemic. 5180 Berliners are currently infected with Corona.

 The  value is currently 19.4 percent. 235 people with Covid 19 disease are currently in the intensive care unit, 170 of them are ventilated. A total of 860 people are in hospital for Covid-19.

 The  value is 1.04. This means that 100 infected people theoretically infect 104 other people with the corona virus. At 1.1 the traffic light would turn yellow.

In the meantime, the administration also states the number of people vaccinated: 255,667 vaccinations have already been carried out in Berlin. 4.08 percent of Berliners are vaccinated for the first time. 2.7 percent received the second vaccination against Corona.
