© www.de24.news The  first open-air game in the NHL on the shores of Lake Tahoe came to an enormous delay on Saturday.

© www.de24.news The  Colorado Avalanche and the Vegas Golden Knights had to wait over 8 hours after the first third before the game could be resumed at 9:00 p.m. local time.

Because of the sunny weather, the artificial ice surface caused problems for a long time. “We have come to the conclusion, along with our ice experts and both teams, that it is not safe and appropriate to continue play at this point,” said NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
