After the World Ski Championships in Cortina – Austria celebrates: “We are number 1”

It’s such a thing with this medal table at the World Ski Championships. Not necessarily the nation that won the most precious metalsinnt, is also at the top of the ranking. Weighting is based on gold, silver and bronze.

While Switzerland in Cortina in the first week thanks Lara Gut-Behrami and Corinne Suter struck, she was outflanked by Austria in the second week.

Such festivals were not the norm for Austria at the last four world championships. Despite most of the medals.  The y lead with 302 medals (101 gold, 104 silver, 97 bronze) ahead of Switzerland with 204-mal precious metal (69 gold, 70 silver, 65 bronze) and France with 136 medals (47 gold, 52 silver, 37 bronze).
