Burning cars – police arrest 40 young people

During a large-scale operation with a helicopter and several patrol cars has the police in the Hessian town of Bensheim DDozens of young people arrested. You are suspected of having set three cars on fire.

 The  police in Bensheim in the Bergstrasse district have provisionally arrested around 40 people after the fire in three cars.

 The  suspects are between 13 and 20 years old, the police said. Witnesses noticed a larger group after three cars went up in flames shortly after one another and only a few kilometers apart.

With several patrol cars and a helicopter, the officers searched for the suspects on Friday evening. Four of them were given to their parents.

 The  remaining suspects were gradually released after verifying their identity.
