Class action lawsuit against Sony for defective PS5 controllers

The  Playstation 5’s DualSense controllers have been criticized. Buyers complain about so-called stick-drift problems: the analog sticks on the controller would transmit commands to the console without any action from the gamers. According to a report by “IGN”, a US law firm has now filed a class action lawsuit against Sony.

The  behavior of Sony is “fraudulent, disappointing, illegal and unfair”, it says in the report of “IGN”.

Apart from the defective controllers, the prosecutors also criticize Sony’s customer service. This is heavily overloaded; Those who send their controllers in for repairs have to expect long waiting times. Above all, Sony is not able to repair the defective controller. ©

The  customer service sends the controller back to the customer without having solved the problem, the report said.

“Bluewin” recommends affected customers to reset the DualSense and to thoroughly clean the sticks. In some cases this has already helped.

A Sony employee disassembled the PS5 in front of the camera. He gave an insight into the architecture and technologies of the console. Read more here.
