Commentary on the World Ski Championships – Lara Gut-Behrami outshines all the annoyances of this World Cup

Twice gold, once bronze: the Ticino woman stands for the success of the Swiss skiing nation, which has won nine medals.  The  embarrassment of the event in Cortina is almost forgotten.

 The n it’s over. Is this World Ski Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo over? It’s a forgiving ending with a previously exciting men’s slalom.

But there were scenes in these two weeks that were not worthy of skiing. Combinations, in which the slalom slope was prepared so pimply hard that downhill after downhill skier slipped away, fell down, embarrassed herself. On Parallel runningthat should have celebrated the big premiere. And it became a big debacle because the two runs were so different in speed. It was embarrassment for the world federation FIS.
