Corona death – Ronaldinho mourns his mother – football

Ronaldinho weeps for his mother. On Sunday it became known that Miguelina Elói Assis dos Santos had lost her fight with Covid-19.  The  mother of the former star kicker died at the age of 71. She fell ill a few days before Christmas and was hospitalized. Complications resulted in death on Saturday.

Ronaldinho Gaucho has not yet commented. But his ex-clubs confirm his mother’s death and express their condolences to the football icon.

 The  Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro writes: “It is with great sadness that the Atlético Mineiro club received the news of the death of Dona Miguelina, the mother of Ronaldinho Gaucho.

 The  Atleticana family is in mourning and shares the moment of pain with their idol. May God receive you with open arms and comfort the heart of our eternal star. ”

FC Barcelona mourn with Ronaldinho: “FC Barcelona send their deepest condolences to our eternal idol Ronaldinho for the loss of his mother. Rest in peace, Dona Miguelina.”

Messi condolences

Superstar Lionel Messi, ex-teammate of Ronaldinho, condoled on Instagram: “Ronnie, I have no words. I can not believe it. I just wish you a lot of strength, I hug you and your whole family. I’m very sorry. Let her rest in peace.”

On December 21st, Ronaldinho informed the public about his mother’s serious corona course: “Dear friends, my mother has Covid and we are fighting for her speedy recovery,” said Ronaldinho’s tweet. “She is in the intensive care unit and is receiving all the necessary treatments. I thank you in advance for your prayers, positive energy and affection. Stay strong, mom.”

Ronaldinho had tested positive for Corona in October 2020 and had an asymptomatic course.
