Corona in MV: 141 new infections, four more deaths | – news

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the authorities have registered 141 new corona infections since Friday, and there were four more deaths.  The  national incidence rate is 66.7.

© The  number of registered new corona infections has increased by 141 cases in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since Friday (as of Saturday 3:53 p.m.). Overall, the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS) reported 23,358 infections in the country since March 2020. According to an estimate by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), 20,407 (+141) of the people who tested positive in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have recovered from Covid 19 disease. ©

 The  number of deaths in the northeast rose by four to a total of 689. According to the LAGuS, 108,606 vaccine doses have been administered in the northeast (as of February 19) – around 3,600 more than the previous day. 67,411 people have received the first vaccination, 41,195 the second.

Nationwide, the incidence value fell from 67.3 to 66.7 infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week compared to the previous day. It is around ten points above the national average. A week ago it was 66.4. In the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, the seven-day incidence value is 158.7. Schwerin has an incidence value of 84.7. ©

 The  LAGuS reports a value of 70.4 for the Ludwigslust-Parchim district and a value of 75.0 for Northwest Mecklenburg. ©

 The  Mecklenburg Lake District reports a value of 64.3. In the district of Rostock the authorities report an incidence of 41.2, in the Hanseatic city of Rostock it is 22.9 and in Western Pomerania-Rügen it is 20.9.

Currently 309 people with Covid-19 in hospital

According to the latest figures from the LAGuS and the Ministry of Health, 309 (-12) people across the country are currently being treated for Covid 19 in a hospital, 48 (-9) of them are in intensive care. According to the intensive care register, 23 (-2) Covid-19 patients are ventilated. ©

 The  registry shows 505 occupied and 119 free intensive care beds for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (as of Saturday 3:19 p.m.).

30 new infections in Ludwigslust-Parchim

According to the LAGuS, most of the infected were or are in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald with 5,375 (+28) infections so far. In the Mecklenburg Lake District there are a total of 5,246 (+21) cases. So far there have been 3,603 (+30) infections in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. 2,117 (+5) infections were reported in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen. In the district of Northwest Mecklenburg, the authorities registered 1,977 (+16) people who were verifiably infected with the corona virus. ©

 The  LAGuS reports 1,947 (+22) cases for the Rostock district. ©

 The  state capital Schwerin continues to have the lowest total numbers with 1,625 (+16) and the Hanseatic city of Rostock with 1,463 (+3) cases.

Active infection events in 28 geriatric care facilities in MV

Since the end of January, LAGuS has also been publishing figures on the situation in old people’s homes, schools and daycare centers. Accordingly, as of Friday there are active infection events in 28 (-1) geriatric care facilities. 605 (-30) residents and 292 (-46) employees are affected. In addition, there are active infection events at two (-1) schools and 15 (-3) daycare centers and after-school care centers. One student and one teacher or employee are affected in the schools. In the daycare centers and after-school centers, 25 children and 14 educators and employees were infected with the virus.
