Corona outbreak in the psychiatry of the MH Hannover

Hannover.

A corona outbreak occurred in a psychiatric ward at the Hannover Medical School (MHH). 14 patients and eleven employees are currently affected, said a spokesman for the clinic on Saturday. He confirmed a report in the “Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung”.  The  origin of the infections is unclear, said the spokesman. None of the people affected is so seriously ill that he or she has to be ventilated.
All people working and treated in the area have been tested and will continue to be tested.  The  uninfected patients are in quarantine.

 The  station is in a separate building and has been isolated. No new patients would be admitted there.

Since the outbreak of the corona pandemic, the MHH has been treating the most serious diseases with COVID-19.

 The  clinic managed to remain largely free of infections. (dpa / lni)
