4,369 new infections have been reported to the Robert Koch Institute in the past 24 hours. 62 people died as a result of a corona infection. The seven-day incidence continued to rise – it is now 61.
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports 4369 new infections. That is around 60 cases less than on Monday a week ago.
The seven-day incidence rose to 61.0 from 57.8 last.
The value increased for the third day in a row after having been in decline for weeks. On Sunday the incidence was 60.2.
The target is an incidence value of 35
The value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants have contracted the corona virus in the past seven days.
The goal of the federal and state governments is a value of 50 in order to relieve the health system, from a permanent value of below 35 they have promised further lockdown openings.
62 other people died according to the RKI after a proven infection with the virus. This increases the number of deaths within 24 hours to a total of 67,903. In total, more than 2.39 million infections have been confirmed in Germany so far.
Numbers usually lower at the beginning of the week
On Mondays and Sundays, the corona numbers are usually lower than on other days of the week, as not all health authorities transmit their numbers to the RKI and fewer tests are carried out and evaluated.
