Corona vaccinations for teachers and educators can start on Sunday

First of all, medical staff with a high risk of infection – such as general practitioners, pediatricians and dentists and staff from the health authorities with direct contact with corona infected people – can register for vaccination appointments. People with dementia and Down’s syndrome living in homes or residential groups, as well as staff working there, also have their turn. Likewise, people who look after people in need of care in everyday life can try to make an appointment.

Teachers now also fall under the second level.  The  federal government will adjust its vaccination ordinance to this end.  The  changes will be incorporated by Wednesday. This means that the first 10,000 primary school teachers, kindergarten teachers and after-school care workers can be vaccinated on this and next Sunday.

 The  Thuringian Ministry of Health keeps the dates free.

In Thuringia, the group of people who could benefit from this includes around 28,000 people, according to Health Minister Heike Werner. Primary school teachers can register for this from this Thursday via the Internet portal. In view of the opening of the primary schools and kindergartens in restricted operations, the demand for corona vaccination protection for their staff has recently become louder.
