Incidence is increasing slightly – but 54 new deaths less than a week ago

 The  health authorities in Germany have the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) within a day 4369 new corona infections reported. In addition, within 24 hours 62 more deaths recorded. That comes from the numbers of the RKI from Monday. Exactly one week ago, the RKI had recorded 4426 new infections and 116 new deaths within one day.

On Monday, the number of cases reported by the RKI is usually lower, among other things because fewer tests are carried out on the weekend.

 The  data reflect the status of the RKI dashboard from 03:10 a.m., subsequent changes or additions are possible.

 The  number of new infections reported within seven days per 100,000 inhabitants (Seven-day incidence) was included nationwide on Monday morning according to the RKI 61,0 – and thus higher than the day before (60.2). Four weeks ago, on January 25th, the incidence was 111.2. Its previous high was reached on December 22nd at 197.6.

 The  high of 1,244 newly reported deaths was reached on January 14th. In the case of the new infections registered within 24 hours, the highest value was reached on December 18, at 33,777 – but it contained 3500 late reports.

 The  RKI has been counting since the beginning of the pandemic 2,390,928 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 in Germany (as of February 22nd, 3:10 am).

 The  actual total number is likely to be significantly higher as many infections are not detected.

 The  number of Recovered gave the RKI with about 2.198.000 at.

 The  total number of people who have had, or have had a history of, Sars-CoV-2 infection died are ascended 67.903.

 The  nationwide Seven-day R-value was included according to the RKI situation report from Sunday afternoon 1,10 (Previous day 1.07). This means that 100 infected people theoretically infect 110 more people.

 The  value represents the occurrence of the infection 8 to 16 days ago. If it is below 1 for a long time, the infection process subsides. (dpa)
