The diverse range of vehicles in the racing game is expanded by four new vehicles with the Energy Content Pack: the Porsche Taycan Turbo S: Alpine A110 Sports X, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra Pre-Runner. 25 new career events with new sponsorship options and unlockable rewards will be added.
The Junkyard Playgrounds content extends the mode for creating your own arenas with more options and offers over 20 new playgrounds objects. Objects range from starting gates and checkpoints made of junk to a giant fire-breathing dinosaur structure under which you can race.
Update 3.00, also available from today, contains additional free content for all players, including three new official liveries for the Ford RS200, the Ford Escort RS Cosworth and the Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2.
The update increases the game’s level cap to 120 and based on feedback from the DIRT 5 community, optimizes performance across the board.
“We have big plans for DIRT 5 in 2021 and this content drop is the perfect way to start the new year,” said Robert Karp, DIRT 5 Development Director at Codemasters. “Adding new options for multiple game modes, bringing in new cars and events for players to master, and implementing player requests are the team’s priorities for this year.”
The Energy Content Pack is included in the Amplified Edition and the Year One Upgrade of DIRT 5 or can be purchased in the digital stores, while the objects in the Junkyard Playgrounds are free for all players. DIRT 5 Amplified Edition or Year One Upgrade owners will get all new content in 2021.
The game supports both Xbox Smart Delivery and the free upgrade for PlayStation when players switch to an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 **.
