The president of the German intensive care physicians is confident that the pandemic will be under control in the fall – but on one condition.
Relaxation in the intensive care units
Despite the rising seven-day incidence – the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within this period – the number of corona intensive cases to be treated in Austria’s hospitals continues to decrease. As of Sunday February 21, 257 intensive care patients had to be cared for. Compared to the previous day, the total number drops by four people.
Slight relaxation, but: “We are worried about the mutations – especially the British variant. This could drive the numbers up again – with exponential growth. […] Our request is therefore: Get vaccinated – also with AstraZeneca. Those who have been vaccinated no longer seem to have to fear severe courses of Covid. All studies show us that, “says Marx.
In Austria, 301,186 people (3.88 percent of the vaccinable population) have received a first dose so far. A current study on BionTech / Pfizer vaccinations now gives additional hope – more about this HERE >>
