Bad Bunny was born in 1994 and grew up as one of three brothers. As he said in interviews, he already knew as a child that he wanted to become a singer one day. His childhood was very happy – he stayed away from the streets and preferred to spend the time with his family, as he says.

He attended church regularly with his mother, where he sang in the choir until he was 13 – later developing an interest in artists like Daddy Yankee and Juanes. To amuse his classmates, he is said to have invented freestyle raps before. And while Bad Bunny’s parents wanted him to be an engineer or a baseball player, he chose to take courses in audiovisual communication at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo. Bad Bunny is also interested in skating and wrestling to this day, which is also reflected in his looks.
