FC Schalke 04: Jochen Schneider makes the announcement – fans excited

Gelsenkirchen.  The  fans of the FC Schalke 04 lately rarely happy.

That now, of all things, an announcement by the outgoing sports director Jochen Schneider at the S04– fans would have expected anticipation. But when he talked about the reasons for his departure on SchalkeTV, Schneider still had a surprise in his luggage.

It was about the successful youth work of FC Schalke 04.  The  Knappenschmiede has repeatedly produced well-known talents in the past, such as Manuel Neuer, Benedikt Höwedes, Julian Draxler, Sead Kolasinac, Leroy Sané, Thilo Kehrer, Weston McKennie or, most recently, high-flyer Matthew Hoppe.

 The  future young footballers will now be given a personality with a royal blue past in the coaching staff, as Schneider announced.

“We are now in the process of adding a former Schalke player to the coaching staff of the Knappenschmiede,” he announced.

 The  association does not want to announce the name until shortly. Schneider only reveals this much: “A very wonderful person who has a great coaching career ahead of him.”

Which ex-player is Schneider bringing back?

 The  fans are now beginning to diligently guess which ex-player it could be. A name that comes up more often is Tim Hoogland (35).

 The  central defender went through the Schalke youth teams, but completed only 42 competitive games (one goal) with the professionals in his entire career. He ended his career last summer.
