FCL wins 3-2 in Ticino – Tasar ends Lucerne’s curse against Lugano – Sport

• Lucerne made up for a deficit twice in Lugano and won the 21st round of the Super League 3-2.
•  The  match winner is the substitute Varol Tasar, who scored the goals for 2: 2 and 3: 2.
• For Lucerne it is the first victory over Lugano since November 2018.
• In the other Sunday games, Leader YB beat Servette 2-0, Zurich and Sion split 1: 1.

In the end, a rough game in Ticino turned into a spectacle between Lugano and Lucerne. Mario Bottani’s goal to make it 2-1 for Lugano after an hour seemed to give the Ticino a boost. Shortly afterwards, the home team missed the preliminary decision, Lucerne goalkeeper Marius Müller prevented the 1: 3 several times.

Tasar comes in and stabs

 The n Lucerne struck back, or rather Varol Tasar, who was substituted on in the 52nd minute. First of all, the 24-year-old equalized the guests with a wonderful kick (81st), and 2 minutes before the end he made his brace perfect with a free kick.

In a first half that was poor in highlights, Miroslav Covilo Lugano shot in the front after just 10 minutes, Marvin Schulz equalized with the break whistle with a penalty (45th + 3).

So it is thanks to Tasar that Lucerne was able to stop the negative series against Lugano. Because the last 8 direct matches could not win the Central Switzerland against Lugano, the last victory was in November 2018.

Thanks to the success, Lucerne left the Barrage-Platz and climbed to 8th place at the expense of Sion. After the 4th defeat of the season, Lugano stayed in 5th place.

Lucerne will travel to the «Ländle» on Wednesday for the game against Vaduz from the 17th round. Lugano will continue with the away game in Lausanne next Sunday (live on SRF Zwei and in the stream in the Sport App).
