Flensburg: Major fire in the fishing port of Fahrensodde | NDR.de – news

In the early morning, a fire broke out in the Flensburg fishing port of Fahrensodde in the Mürwik district. According to the rescue control center, an old pilot hangar has been burning in full expansion there since 5:40 a.m. According to the current status, nobody has been injured in the fire. However, there will probably be a lot of property damage: there are sailing yachts in the hall.  The y too have already caught fire. According to the fire brigade, there are currently around 100 emergency services on site with two turntable ladders.

 The  partially collapsed roof of the hall made the extinguishing work more difficult, so the emergency services had to extinguish the building primarily from the outside. Since the large cloud of smoke is now moving across the Baltic Sea to Glücksburg, the fire brigade asks to keep all windows and doors closed and to switch off the ventilation and air conditioning systems.
