England: Liverpool also lose Merseyside derby

For Liverpool FC it has dropped the 4th defeat in a row in the Premier League.  The  “Reds”, where Xherdan Shaqiri came on after an hour, lost the city derby against Everton 0-2. For the last time to date, Liverpool had such a negative run in December 2002. Despite significantly more possession and numerous chances to score, the defending champion failed to score. Everton, on the other hand, struck right at the beginning through Richarlison (3rd) and put the lid on after 83 minutes from the penalty point.

Chelsea only got a 1-1 draw away from Southampton.  The  «Blues» had recently celebrated 5 wins in a row.

Spain: Atletico fail again against Levante

On the way to the 11th championship title Atletico Madrid failed for the second time within 4 days against UD Levante. After the 1-1 draw on Wednesday in a catch-up game, the Rojiblancos lost 2-0 to the underdog from Valencia on Saturday at home.

City rivals Real Madrid won 1-0 away against relegation candidate Valladolid. With this, the «royal» shortened the gap to leader Atletico (with one game more) to 3 points.
