Together with its partner Bayanat, Frequentis was awarded the contract for the delivery of two D-ATIS systems (digital automatic terminal information service) for Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central. The systems enable the safe and effective integration of the automatic information distribution of meteorological data via terrestrial radio and data transmission, as Frequentis explains. With the Frequentis smartTOOLS solution, air traffic control in Dubai can implement its extensive emergency plans for both airports.
“ The Frequentis D-ATIS can handle complex systems and large hubs fully automatically and is well suited for the needs of dans – especially for air traffic after the pandemic, when the demand for passenger flights will rise again”, says Josef Kutschi, Managing Director Frequentis Middle East. “This project includes our first four-fold redundant D-ATIS and once again proves our system capability and reliability for important aviation hubs. It is also a key project for the further development of Frequentis Middle East. We look forward to working even closer with dans.”
