Scotland is just reporting “spectacular” results with AstraZeneca’s vaccine. The risk of having to be hospitalized for Covid-19 is reduced according to initial findings by 94 percent – just four weeks after people received their first dose of the product. The University of Edinburgh has evaluated the results and study leader Aziz Sheikh considers it “very encouraging”. One can now “look to the future with optimism”, because it is now proven that the vaccination offers “protection against Covid-related hospital stays”.
