In Germany he was a taxi entrepreneur, but Werner Boesel dreamed of a life in America. In 2015 he put everything on one card and emigrated to Texas with his family. In Sulfur Springs he founded the “Boesel Ranch” and shortly afterwards opened his own restaurant: “Joe’s German Restaurant & Schnitzel House”.
For many years, viewers of the TV show “Goodbye Germany” were able to accompany Werner in making his dream come true. Now they have to say goodbye, because the emigrant died at the age of only 62.
“We are shaken!”
“With a broken heart I have to inform you that my dear Werner passed away tonight,” writes his wife Christine on his Facebook page. With the words “We are shaken!”, The team from “Goodbye Germany” shares the sad news on Instagram.
Two years ago, Werner turned to his fans with a cry for help and made his cancer public. Since he suffered from a severe form of leukemia, he wanted to leave his restaurant in good hands. “Only stem cell therapy can save me, but my heart is too weak,” he wrote to the “Goodbye Germany” makers recently.
Now Werner Boesel has lost the fight against the disease. “You will be missing,” the TV team said goodbye to the emigrant. Numerous viewers also express their sympathy in the comments. It is not known how things will continue with “Joe’s German Restaurant & Schnitzel House”.
