The  “Goodbye Germany” family Heidtke emigrated to South Africa five years ago. But Corona gives them a lot of trouble.

© www.de24.news The  Heidtke family from Germany and their step to emigrate to South Africa have been able to watch TV viewers on “Goodbye Germany” for a while. Olaf and Marie Heidtke opened a lodge and were able to make ends meet. But now the situation has become rather precarious for the family. Because of the corona pandemic, the Heidtkes have no guests – like many others from the tourism industry, this can end in a financial disaster.

“Goodbye Germany” star Daniela Büchner still lives on Mallorca and is freshly in love – but has to fight with rumors of crisis, as you can see in the video above.

The  “Pure Nature Lodge” has been closed for almost a year now, and it is still uncertain how travel will go in 2021. And after the pandemic, tourism will probably need a while before it is back to normal. But where will the money come from until then to feed the family and cover the running costs? For the Heidtkes it seems to be about existence.

On their homepage “pure-nature-lodge.com” you can find this reference to an “SOS Rescue Package”, which the family hopes to get support by booking early and which includes an 11-day stay in the lodge with various activities: “What What makes me sad personally is that the coronavirus has ruined a lot and we have to start almost from scratch. For this reason we have designed this SOS package and hope that it will be booked. This is the only way we can live our lives here contest and survive “, so can be read on the homepage.

“Goodbye Germany” emigrants want to stay in South Africa

For the family, who have lived in South Africa for five years, one thing seems clear: they don’t want to leave here, and the children Emily, Samuel and Aaron feel very comfortable in their new home. No wonder: As you can read on the homepage, the lodge’s 200 hectare property, which is already home to some animals, borders the Addo Elephant National Park and it is always possible to observe wild animals from the lodge! That sounds like a real paradise for children. Giving up is not an option for the Heidtkes, especially since they have already survived difficult times in South Africa, such as a drought in 2018. In an interview on “ok-magazin.de”, Olaf Heidtke confesses: “If the going gets tough, you have to we sell the animals. That way we could stay afloat. ” But it shouldn’t get that far.

In the video below you can see how expensive it can be if emigration fails.
