For days the rumor has persisted that the Berlin conspiracy ideologist Attila Hildmann is wanted by the Berlin public prosecutor with an arrest warrant.

Hildmann in particular fueled the rumor mill by speaking of an “open arrest warrant” against him in various messages on his Telegram channel.
On Monday morning, the right-wing extremist called his supporters to a rally in front of the Berlin public prosecutor’s office in Moabit to demand that the alleged arrest warrant be withdrawn. While more than 114,000 people followed him on Telegram, less than ten participants appeared on the sidewalk in Turmstrasse on Monday.
The  BZ police reporter reported on Tuesday Axel Lier – known for his good contacts in the police and justice scene – on his Twitter account of the existence of an arrest warrant against the vegan cookbook author.

At the request of the Tagesspiegel, the Berlin public prosecutor neither wanted to confirm nor deny this. A spokesman said the agency generally did not comment on “pending arrest warrants”.

Since Hildmann lives in Wandlitz, Brandenburg, the investigation was initially conducted by the Cottbus public prosecutor’s office and handed over to the Berlin authorities in November.

At around the same time, investigators carried out a house search of the 39-year-old.  The  public prosecutor speaks of a time-consuming investigation. As the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” reports, one of the secured hard drives is said to be so badly damaged that the data cannot be read.

Another hard drive is apparently protected by a password so that investigators cannot open it. In each individual case, it must be checked whether the 39-year-old could have violated freedom of expression and made himself liable to prosecution.

The  possible arrest warrant from the Berlin public prosecutor’s office does not necessarily have to be related to the allegations listed, but can also have further reasons.
So-called grounds for arrest must be available for an arrest warrant. In addition to the urgent suspicion, there is a risk of escape, escape, blackout or repetition, for example. © www.de24.news

The  risk of escape in particular is likely to play a role for Hildmann.

Attila Hildmann spreads conspiracy theories about Corona

His house in Wandlitz doesn’t seem to have been inhabited for a long time, his vegan snack bar in Charlottenburger Schillerstraße has not offered any deliveries since the beginning of the year and looks deserted.
Several times in the past few days, Hildmann himself shared voice messages from other Telegram users, in which it was said that the cookbook author was on the run.

Attila Hildmann started spreading conspiracy theories about the corona pandemic on social networks in April last year. In spring and summer he called on his supporters to hold regular rallies on Museum Island. He describes himself as “ultra-right”.
Almost every day Hildmann shares anti-Semitic and nationalist propaganda on his Telegram channel, including contributions from the right-wing extremist micro-party “© www.de24.news

The  Third Way”. Several politicians and journalists have been the targets of his hatred. He threatened the Green politician Volker Beck with the death penalty at one of his rallies.
