KAC wins the top duel against Bozen – Hockey-News.info

 The  EC KAC was able to prevail in the top duel with the HCB Südtirol Alperia and thus achieve the second victory in the placement round.  The  red jackets prevailed 4-2 in the Carinthian capital.

 The  EC-KAC celebrated a complete success in the top duel against table leaders HCB Südtirol Alperia. For the South Tyroleans this was the first defeat in the third game of the Pick-Round.

 The  Rotjacken, on the other hand, celebrated their second win in a row, after starting the second round with two defeats. In the table, the Klagenfurters were able to draw level with the “foxes”, but have already played one more game. With this success, the KAC was able to underpin its home strength – they won eight out of ten home games in 2021.

For Bolzano, however, things have not been going according to plan in the last few weeks.  The y have suffered their fifth away defeat in their last eight games. Clemens Unterweger brought his team into the lead early on Sunday. Lukas Haudum was able to double the lead in the second section before Mike Halmo could write for the Foxes for the first time that evening.

 The  KAC finally prevailed 4-2 and made an important step towards home rights in the quarterfinals. In the table, the red jackets are now level with the leader from South Tyrol.
