Ken Roczen (Honda): Wrong starting position, but still fun / Supercross World Championship

Ken Roczen lost valuable points to race winner Cooper Webb (Red Bull-KTM) in Orlando on Saturday evening.  The  German currently still has six points on the KTM rider.

 The  final race started badly for Honda hopefuls Roczen with a completely botched start.

On the outside of Jason Anderson, the German only turned 17th into the first corner. This was followed by a chase through the field for him, which almost ended up in third place. “That was really quite a fun Saturday in Orlando,” said Roczen. “Since I was only 22nd on the start straight and 17th after the first corner, it made the race quite interesting.”

 The  German also confessed: «Unfortunately I chose the wrong starting place. After the 250cc start, I noticed that my starting place was pretty battered. I had a big wave on my line. ”

 The  start itself also went wrong. «I let go of the clutch and my front wheel shot up.

 The  whole thing somehow panned my handlebars. ”

KR94 states: “It was a very intense main event. But I drove well and I really enjoyed myself. I wish I hadn’t made some mistakes and that the overtaking maneuver against Eli Tomac had worked the first time.

 The n I could have made it onto the podium. “

Roczen finally crossed the finish line just behind Justin Barcia (GASGAS) in fourth. But Roczen knows: “Yes, I lost a few points. But I’m not the one who is lagging behind. I still have some space to play with. “
