RB Leipzig has reduced the gap to front runner FC Bayern to two points in the German Bundesliga. Meanwhile, the worries at Werder Bremen are increasing.

Leipzig celebrated a 3-0 victory against Hertha BSC in Berlin on Sunday, the day before Munich had lost 2-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt. ÖFB team player Marcel Sabitzer took the lead with a shot from almost 30 meters (28th), Nordi Mukiele (71st) and Willi Orban (84th) scored the other goals. Leipzig managed to make amends for the 2-0 draw in the first leg of the Champions League first leg in Budapest against Liverpool.
TSG Hoffenheim ended a bitter football week in a conciliatory manner and increased Werder Bremen’s worries. Coach Sebastian Hoeneß’s team won 4-0 at the end of the 22nd Bundesliga matchday on Sunday evening, overtaking their direct rivals in the table. In front of empty stands, Ihlas Bebou (26th minute), Christoph Baumgartner (44th), Munas Dabbur (49th) and Georginio Rutter (90th) scored the goals for the Kraichgauer, who were able to celebrate a success for the first time after four competitive games without a win.
Before that, Bayer Leverkusen had just achieved a 1-1 draw in Augsburg thanks to a goal from Edmond Tapsoba (94th) after the home side had made it 1-0 through Florian Niederlechner (5th). Leverkusen are now fifth, five points behind the fourth-placed Frankfurters.
