M’gladbach: Neuhaus has not pledged its loyalty

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool FC, Manchester City:  The  list of clubs that have been linked to Florian Neuhaus in recent weeks is quite handsome. Of course, the bright 23-year-old has long understood how he has catapulted his market value upwards at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Neuhaus has to circumvent the question of the ‘kicker’ about its future in the usual way. “For me”, asserts the midfielder, “It’s really not that big a topic now. I play for Borussia, I have a contract and we as a club are still pursuing very big goals this season. I cannot currently say what will happen in the summer. “

Clear starting position

Neuhaus’ following words are not exactly a denial either: “I’m also very relaxed about the future. Borussia is a club where I was able to develop extremely well and where I can find everything. I know what I have in Borussia. “ Nice words, but no declaration of loyalty.

It has long been known that Neuhaus has an exit clause in his contract, which runs until 2024 – according to reports, in the range of 40 million euros.

 The  starting position for the summer is therefore clear: If a club wants to pay this sum and can make a move attractive to the three-time national player, the hands of the foals – as in the case of their coach Marco Rose, who is moving to Dortmund – are tied.
