Since the fall of last year, Bitcoin has been making a lot of headlines with ever new highs. But which cryptocurrencies actually share the rest of the digital pie in addition to the outshining market leader?

At the beginning of the year, the entire cryptocurrency market passed the milestone of one trillion US dollars, according to data from “CoinMarketCap”. In the course of the rapid soaring of the crypto flagship Bitcoin, the market capitalization of all digital currencies has naturally picked up again. In the meantime, even the two best-placed cryptos have broken the trillion mark alone. As a reminder: around a year ago, a Bitcoin was worth just 8,000 dollars – since then the price has increased more than sixfold.

 The  specialist portal “Cryptoslate” provides a ranking of all 2,395 cryptocurrencies in real time on its website. It is interesting that once well-known market players such as Ripple, which was third three years ago, are no longer even among the top 100.
